Homeopathy in Pediatric Care: Principles, Evidence, and Clinical Application

Abstract

Paediatric care represents one of the most delicate and demanding domains in clinical homoeopathic practice. Children, by virtue of their distinct physiological, immunological, and psychosomatic constitution, respond to homoeopathic prescribing in a manner qualitatively different from adults. This article provides homoeopathic practitioners with a comprehensive, evidence-informed overview of homoeopathy's role in paediatric health, encompassing constitutional prescribing, acute management, miasmatic understanding, pharmacological safety considerations, and an appraisal of current clinical evidence. Key therapeutic areas including recurrent upper respiratory tract infections, otitis media, childhood diarrhoea, atopic dermatitis, and behavioural-developmental concerns are addressed. Representative remedies, prescribing frameworks, and evidence from peer-reviewed literature are synthesised to guide the clinician.
